Hey everyone, I was just wondering, is there a good site to read information on training and kidding? Just general information for the newbie so I am not asking a zillion questions? Our does are due to kid in about a month or so, and while I've read lots of WONDERFUL information on here, I just wondered if there was a place for basic information on goats, and again - info on kidding. I've been reading on here about checking ligaments and the post leg things, but want to know more about labor itself. And examples on how to swing a kid when I have to, etc. Lots to learn
yup the owner of this site has pygmy goats but the idea is the same for all breeds http://kinne.net/ob1.htm
I also found the Fiasco Farm website to be informative. Hope it helps you too. http://fiascofarm.com/
I posted a handbook a few months back that contains a lot of good reading and information. I found most of the information to be current with the exception of a few items concerning banding. The handbook recommends to have it done much, much earlier than most of us would. viewtopic.php?f=49&t=13674
