My first doe to kid (ever) suffered a rupture of her uterus yesterday. After a c-section to remove her dead kids (twin bucklings), the vet sewed up the rupture and we hit her hard with antibiotics. This morning she was actually looking better and I allowed myself to become optomistic of her recovery. But, it was not to be. Today at about 4:30pm, Moonlight crossed the Rainbow Bridge. At least I know she is no longer suffering.
I am sorry you lost your girl! :tears: I hope that you know this was a freak thing. :sigh: You will likely have MUCH easier kiddings from now on.
Oh Erin, I am so sorry for your loss. That is hard, and it is realty hard if the vet thought it was all taken care of. She is in greener pastures and pain free.
