Welcome!!! What part of louisianna? My kids are in Shreveport and we will be going down in a couple months!
welcome to the forum! you will find tons of info. here! Nigerians are wonderful--especially for children. They are pretty docile & easy to handle. My son was showing nigerians when he was 3 years old without any problem. He's 4 now & is allowed to go into the barn whenever he wants to play with the goats--I have no worries of him getting hurt by the goats & the goats are all used to him running around there with them. I like that the nigerians come in a multitude of colors & can even have blue eyes.
Welcome from Alabama! I have nigis and love them. They are gentle, fun to play with, and easy to handle, but they do have a mind of their own. I think all goats do. My personal opinion is that Nigerian dwarfs are the cutest of the goat breeds...but then I may be prejudiced.
