Ellie , the same goat as before, I notice this morning she wouldn't come in to eat. I waited until this evening and same thing. I caugh and penned her up and then I could hear her grinding her teeth again. She had been eating and running in with her buddies to the feed trough, but today she stopped. I'll do a temp in the morning and get som green leaves up for her. I got a fecal this eve to check for parasites. I put out a little alfalfa and oats but she snubbed it. Also gave her some hay but she wasn't interested. I may give some MOM in the morning and maybe a b complex shot. Any more ideas? I thought I made a short video of her teeth grinding but it doesn't didn't take . Pic attached

I look back over her history and this is the third time she has went thru this. 7/03/20 she went off feed, I went thru the steps and she went back to eating. 7/26/20- she went off feed, I went thru the process again and nursed her back to eating good. 8/29/20- started same off feed. It seems about every 3 to 3-1/2 weeks she goes off feed. Is this a pattern to something I'm not seeing? I'll try green leaves in the morning also. With her having the clumpy stool would there still be a need for MOM? The stool was like the little berries were sticky. (Not like dog poop)

Could it be her heat cycle?
Come to think of it it well could be. If so how could I stop her from grinding her teeth. She really makes a noise like breaking nuts when she does it. Much more of this and she want have any teeth. She didn't eat last night and nothing this morning. I gave her b complex shot and heavy dose of probiotics and even cut her a good oak limb which she smelled of and walked off. She had been eating good about 2 days ago. Thanks

While I have not seen a doe go completely off feed, heat cycle came to my mind as well. If her temp is fine..and poop looks good. Watch to see if she chews her cud..it maybe hormones surging.
Making sure she is well of course would, I would track how long it lasts. B complex and probiotics never hurt yo give but unless she has a high fever I wouldn't start antibiotics.
Now if her temp is high..that changes thought and she may need to be vaccinated against pneumonia.

My doe has been grinding her teeth. I made sure she got enough minerals, and I dewormed her and gave a b complex shot and she has gotten better. Check your doe’s FAMACHA score to make sure it’s not parasites. If my doe acts weird at all and she’s in heat I don’t worry, 90% of the time it’s hormones; at least that’s how it is on my farm.

I have a girl..if shes grinding her teeth..i check her temp. If normal I check her Famacha. If good I listen to the Rumen
Hers slows way down. Like 1 girgle in 5 minutes slow down. I grab a drench gun..and dark beer. I put it in a water bottle & start ahakng it to get it to go flat. So when it has little fizz left. She gets 3 60cc of dark warm almost flat beer. She gets a buzz & gas. But that rumen is singing. She eats like she is starving. And the next day she is playful and acts more goaty. No grinding of teeth.

When I fed up this evening her temp check 103 f. I gave her a probotics drench of powder, 5mg mixed with 25 ml water. She had eat no feed that was out for her but did eat some oak leaves. I did a fecal on her myself (just learning) and according to my McMaster slide, the barberpole was high. I added all 8 grids and multiplied by 50 and got a total of 6232, for what’s that worth. I am taking a fecal from her to the vet in the morning to see if I’m looking at the right things. I think I saw Coccidia also. It’s only been about a week since her last dose of Cydectin (8/23/20) and a dose of one dose of toltrazuril on 8/1/20. I think I was suppose to give the toltrazuril in ten days and I forgot all about it.

You you did this:
Count how many eggs in the first 4 grids aka the first chamber. Count how many eggs were in the second 4 grids aka second chamber. Add that number together. Multiply that number by 50.
That's the way I did it. I'm taking a sample to vet in the morning before I go to work. As I said I'm new to this but what I saw and thought was BP I counted. I just want a see if I agree with vet, lol

i took sample to Vet this morning. I caught a new sample fresh out of her to take to my vet. He said she had only a moderate amount of BP and no Coccidia. I also included a temp that i did last night of 103 f, he said the temp was a little high but minor and to give 2-1/2 ml of nuflor gold. and 10 ml B complex. He also said to worm with Cydectin but Last night i started Invermetin at 16 ml.
she weighs about 70 pounds. she was wormed with the Cydectin before on the now & 10-10 schedule and her last dose was evening of 8/23/20. only 7 days from last worming. i thought 103 f temp was ok . i think i need more schooling on the worm thing.

Normal temp range is 101.5 to 103.5 so she was normal..not high at all. If you didn't start the Nuflor..i would hold off. I would wait a full 10 days before de worming her again. Too much chem. thrown at her won't help her rumen.
I would focus on her rumen health for now.
By the way. She is a pretty Doe.

well that's kinda what i thought about the nuflor gold. That's why i asked about it. On the b complex, i have never given over 6 ml at a time and most of the time only 5 ml. i think i will give her 5ml this evening and 5 ml in the morning. also this evening i'm going for more probiotics and green leaves and hay. i may even offer her some flat dark beer but ill have to leave it out tonight and give in the morning. im going to listen for rumen sounds this eve and get another temp. thanks
