So I was looking on the Altrece website and I saw that a buck was available out of Montana Sky. I asked mom and she said YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I talked to Alethea this morning and she told me Montana is her strongest dam line and is still a great looking doe at 7 years old, she also said her progency are better than she is!!! I am so excited!!!!

Mom also said, I could get a little doe from her too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm waiting for Alethea to email me with a list of doe kids that she has available then we'll discuss when they can ship. My mom may be getting a doe kid too

I need some help with naming the buck, I want something related to his mom's name(Montana Sky) She didn't have his sire's name listed on her site(he is a cross of Winddancer x Savannah Sky(Montana's daughter)) Here is what I have so far:
Montana Cowboy
Montana Tumbleweed(or just Tumbleweed)
Rocky Mountain Man

Any other cool suggestions?

Congrats!!!!! I have heard good things about the Altrece herd. I keep hoping someone will donate a nice LaMancha doeling or buckling to a few of the local show raffle/auctions-but so far no one has. That is the best way I have found to bring in new lines. I'd like to eventually add about two more does to my herd-which now consists of 3 purebred LaManchas-and then i'll be good to go on goats for awhile. :greengrin:

Ok update:

Alethea told me that since the buckling is only 6 days old the vet might not ok him to ship. So, I'm going to talk to her but if he can't ship, I am probably going to wait till next year to get a buck from Montana. BUT, mom said I could still get a doe from her for myself and her. I'm getting a doe out of CH *B Willow Run Virtuosity Sunra and a Becca's Tulane daughter(pics on this page: http://altrece.com/herdsires.htm) here is a Sunra daughter: http://hoof-and-horn.net/suntea.htm
