Well, I went to check the goats this morning and poor Guy - our Saanen buck had his leg broke - it was swinging, made me squeemish as I had never seen it before, and the bone went through the skin - front leg. I knew right away when he wasnt himself. I brought him to the vet and unfortunately - since he is an adult, poor Guy had to be put down. I think he tried to get into Tara (BT) who was in with finn(BT) as she was in season. Only thing I can think of, he was a very eager boy - So sweet guy - sorry I didnt pet you as often as you wanted because of your lovely odour, but we will miss you.

I am so sorry for your loss.

I know someone who's buck tried to jump the fence and broke his leg really badly, she had to put him to sleep. He was a very nice well bred buck too...
