Has anyone used oral meloxicam for arthritis in goat

915 Views 3 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  happybleats
I have an older doe with arthritis and joint pain in shoulder. Was giving Benamine injections occasionally, but that caused some stomach inflammation and I read that Meloxicam can be given orally to goats for osteoarthritis pain...but cannot find anyone who has tried it or is using it...Looking for advice and info if possible.

Meloxicam is a popular choice for long term pain management. It is oral and it is a large dose. MSM for horses tend to help as well.
