So I was looking through YouTube and found this cool video of a hay baler technique for those of us that can't afford expensive equipment for a small amount of hay.


I've been wanting to grow alfalfa in a section of our property and cut it by hand and with this I can bale it for easier storage.

That's the same type of baler we used to use to bale moss for selling. Ours uses an old bumper jack to compress the moss down. I wonder if my mother in law still had it.

I've been trying to think of a way to store dried blackberry leaves for winter. I think that something like this could work. I'd have to figure out how to wrap the bales without them falling apart though.

You could use some sort of netting like potato / onion sacks for small bales and then twine to keep it from tearing
