A new grain store opened in the next town over, I saw hay extender there, never really heard of it, but notice there has been a little talk of on this site,
I am thinking of getting it for the winter not sure of how much to feed to my girls though, I have a 6month old french alpine doe and a 2 1/5 yr old toggenburg/boer
    any info would be great
    thanks so much

Would this be the pellets? I have used it with my minis, it does help with extending a bale of hay too...the hay pellets I had were a bit bigger than the alfalfa pellets and they all managed them just fine. What I did for my little goats was to put 2-3 cups in each of 4 different feed dishes...they all got but I also still put hay in racks in the mornings, pellets in the evenings as they still need the long fibered roughage.
