    Hi there -
    New member from Southern Delaware.

We acquired our herd at the end of 2009 and are just starting out. At this point we have 15 goats with 3 new ones comining home in the next couple weeks.

There are 5 does between 2 years and 8 years. Our first kidding season brought us 3 doelings and 5 bucklings. All the boys will be wethered and hopefully most sold. The 3 new ones we are bringing home are 2 bucklings (our potential herd sires) and a new doeling.

Since I am the type of person that reads and researches before doing anything I am relatively book smart but learning the real life application of these things. Not to mention the broad range of "opinions" from those doing this longer.

We must be neighbors! I am in Laurel too... we bought a house on Discount Land Road in November of 2008.

Wow- what a coincidence! This is such a little town, I never run into other "Laurelites" online.

We are on Elliotts Dam Road- just a few miles away!

Wow - not far at all!

We have Nigerian Dwarf Dairy Goats. The original group we purchased from Avolino Farm in Sudlersville, DE.

I am getting a buck from Ashley at Ashaway Dairy Goats in Ohio at the end of this week.

Then getting a buck and doeling from Ed at Enchanted Hill south of Roanoke, VA on the 12th.
