Hello, My name is Lisa. I just recently retired from Veterinary Medicine after 35 years in the business. Sold my home in S. Florida and moved to the Florida panhandle. Bought 5 acres and now I am back to goats. Was raised on a farm so it's nice to be back to my roots. I just bought a Nigerian Dwaft Buck.

Yes, I have a young doe with him. Looking for a whether to house with him. For she is to young right now. And I just recently found out that these little bucks can get sexualy pretty young. So in the market for another small doe to house with her and a whether for him.

That's my son's name! I always try to choose animal names that might never pop up in the family but it's fun when other's do it. :)

Welcome to TGS! It sounds like you're living your best life- well done.

With 8 kids..i have to run names by everyone to be sure I don't name a goat that they may use for a grand baby lol

That is too funny! I have had a list of names for my future kids (human of course) since I was 13. Now a couple years later, somehow I end up using them on goats and cows and ruining them. 🤣 I’ve managed to save 3 of my favorites for human kids. (Also, I love how us goat people have to clarify human and goat kids) lol

I just love the name Oakley! I never thought I'd have a goat named Oakley, in fact, I wanted (still do but a different name) to get a mini Jersey and name her that lol
