Please help!!
She had a very hard time giving birth. All her kids had to be manually pulled out. 3 kids later. (This was yesterday) Her after birth came out. I don’t know what this is…. Does anyone know? Has anyone seen this before? She tries to push this thing out & yells out loud. I just really hope she’ll be ok. She’s been treated with antibiotics & selenium.

There are usually one placenta per kid. Sometimes twins can share a larger placenta. So she had 3 kids? How many placentas did she have yesterday?
Also did you go in to check for more kids?

It is her afterbirth completely normal.

I do agree, do not pull on it.

Is she eating her feed and drinking water ok? Make sure she’s getting a little extra calcium…
Sometimes my does take awhile to drop their placenta. After it does drop, expect to see some blood gunk cleansing out every now and then for the next few weeks.

The passing of this is normal. She will have a few days of bloody type discharge. If shes a new mom, this is new to her too. Then add crazy hormones on top. So she is looking to you for comfort. Shes doing well, just stay calm around her, and help her accept this as being ok.

Oh thank you so much guys ❤ for your amazing support. I’m so glad there’s a forum for us farmers. I’ll let my husband know. Yes, she has a great appetite.

Yes, we were able to check her & make sure there was no more kids. My other female gave birth to 4 kids. 5 days before. It has been an interesting week. I didn’t realize there’s more than one placenta! 😮 this birth just took us by surprise because the other birth was simpler & smooth. This one was terrifying because she just gave up & wouldn’t push anymore. The kids, had to be pull out one after the other. The poor girl just didn’t have it in her to continue. I honestly thought she was going to pass away while trying to get the kids out. But I’m so grateful!!! She came out strong after having a horrible experience. She’s up walking & eating like her normal usual self.
