Help! First time dealing with potential Coccidia

1050 Views 4 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  Kiz
Hello, I am a new goat owner. I am struggling to find information and places where I can buy some sort of Amprolium for my sick Nanny. She has been scouring for a few weeks and I'm struggling to wait for her bloods and stools to come back.
My Doe has lost quite a lot of weight and is very anemic (Currently treating with B12 injections).
I am giving her lots of electrolytes and hard feed. Somedays 'Mama' seems to be getting better, however, this is continuing on for 2-3 weeks and I'm getting quite concerned. Our Vets here don't seem to be very knowledgeable in regards to goats and I'm struggling feeling like a bad goat mama.
Any information helps!!

Where are you located?
I did an online search, have you checked this site?

Am I correct that you had a fecal test done and blood test, but you haven't gotten results?

Thank you, yes you are correct. With Easter being this coming weekend, they doubt I will get it back before then.
I have tried the Pancur and it doesn't seem to be working on her at all. I found a natural D-Scour and tried that for a week, which seemed to aid her but only minimal.
