I have a 7 day old boy who is eating 4 times a day. He was on straight goat milk and over the past 3-4 days we have been transitioning to the cow's milk recipe by Carolyn. He has been drinking less and less. Now - straight cow's milk he drinks for about 5 seconds and he's done. No change in behavior or stool - just doesn't want to drink. This happened this morning and noon feeding today. Last night he drank about 1/2.

Anyone have any suggestions or tips? Could it be a flavor thing? Is there something I can add - flavoring, seasoning, etc... that would make it taste 'better' to him?

I really don't want to buy goat milk for one boy. I haven't heard much good about the replacer either.

Thanks,

Tonia

Go ahead and back off the cow's milk to about 50%. Try again in a week. He will develop an appetite and get with it. He's pretty young and probably not as hungry as he will be later.
