Hello folks. I have some new kids born about a month ago and I noticed these spots under the chin of one of them. It’s accompanied by hair loss in the area. I am about to go round the two kids and mom up to separate and treat. I’m thinking it’s mites but definitely wanted y’all’s expert advice. I’ve had mites before and treated it successfully with ivermectin sq and nu stock. I’m just not sure how to dose the ivermectin for the kid.
Thank you for the advice. That exactly what I just did. I checked the mom and brother and they showed no signs of mites. Actually when I went to check the kid before I applied the Nustock the scabs were gone and there were no other signs of irritation. So now I’m not sure what it even was. The Nustock will help either way. Thanks again.
I've treated kids as young as 2-3 weeks with a little bit of Ivermectin pour on down the back, but most usually I use Nustock. I've actually used Nustock daily many times for various issues on kids and adults with no issues. Biggest thing is if it's an area they rub the nustock off of vs an area that holds it on better. For example ears is where I usually see issues in young kids, so I just put Nustock on the ears daily or as needed for a few days then every 2-3 days after that and heals up fast.
My daughters 6mo buck had them really bad on his scrotum and back legs, lost hair and his scrotum looked raw. I did Nustock every other day and now the hair is back and skin is healed up pretty good. It's great stuff.
