My neutered male,Nubian is severely anemic, the vet said to give in horse red cell and get it at tractor supply, we did. But the problem is we don't have the dosage, he is 4 months old, 25 pounds ( only a guess not exact ). His under eyelids are white. What is the most appropriate dosage of Red Cell? Daily or weekly?

Its 6cc per 100 pounds. Every day for a week then once a week till color returns. Vit B complex is good also its the same dosage.

Kramsay is correct..also include Vit b 12..it helps him rebuild his red blood cells..along with high protein feed, alfalfa and green leaves...It take a while to recover fully..as kransay said..be sure to continue until you see good color return..I like to double day ones dose of red Cell..

Have you dealt with the cause of the anemia??
