Help please, doe with sore and temperature

My doe Willow has licked the fur off a small area behind her shoulder. I think it was either a bug bite or a bruise. Probably bug bite, because it seems to be itching like crazy. The skin feels hard and looks bruised. There was a bit of pus also. I am treating it with betadine and blukote, except that she licks it all off.
There are sprays for dogs that stop them from licking, is there something for goats?
Her temperature was 103.3 this morning and 103.8 this evening. (It was a hot day.)
I am concerned about flies, which is why I use blukote, but it doesn’t stay on with her licking. I have SWAT, but I don’t think it is safe for licking?
    Thanks for any advice.

Just to add, there is no lump on that spot.
    And I gave her garlic.

I thought about a dog cone. But how safe is that on a goat?

Try nustock. It smells and taste yucky..
Any other spots or symptoms..im always concerned about menigeal worm when itchy sores near the spinal area...normally starts at the tail end.

Yes.as long as its not a deep wound.. clean and dry the wound first..then apply the nustock. I have a doe who had like a hot spot on her side. Weird looking. Nustock dried it up

    Thanks!
It was not weeping this morning, that was good. Hopefully that means the betadine cleared the infection (pus).
I will do as you suggested.
Her temp was 103.8 again this am, and it is not hot out yet. I will keep an eye on her temperature.

Nustock is good stuff. Helps lots of skin issue. It did not seem to bother my girl and healed things up quick. She got two spots last year at the same area. Just looks like a hot spot. Wish I new what caused them.

Doesn't it appear with weakness as well?

Yes...can start with a slight criss cross step on back legs..progresses to over all weakness as the worm migrates up the spine.

I keep checking her over, no other sores.
She doesn’t seem to lick the Nustock, so:

might try tea tree...its effective and taste yucky. Dilute a drop or 2 in carrier oil..then apply several times a day.
