For treating goats for cough, I'm going to try a wormer. The penicillin didn't work, so this is the next step. I'm using the Ivomec injection for cattle, but doing it orally. Is this a 1cc/20 lb thing? I've seen other people say 1cc/33 lbs.

I treated the other day, so I'll try again in 7 days.

    Any advice?

    Thanks

I was told 1cc/33 pounds also for my dairy goats so that's what I use. I give the 2nd dose 30 days later. It works great for me at that rate and I don't want to give them more than that if it's working fine. I worry about them building up an immunity to it by dosing more than is needed.

    How often do you worm?

My breeder in Michigan says that he only does once per year, sometimew twice.

Also, do you ever use Valbazen?

Me ...a minimum of ...2x a year....unless the goat is notably showing ...being wormy....then they get a dose and then again 10 days later....by mouth.....

Yes..... I use Valbezen...1cc per 33lbs by mouth....
