Has anyone used Herbal or Natural wormers?
Name brand, mix your own?
Do you add something else to their diet they you believe makes a difference like Diatomaceous Earth?
Pros? Cons?
I'm wondering how well they work, as well as the cost difference vs drugs?
What types of parasites do these eliminate?
Is there a natural way to take care of Coccidia?

Right now we use Safe Guard, Cydection, and Ivermection given in rotation depending on how the herd is looking.
We used Corid for Coccidiosis, but I'll most likely order baycox to use on next years kids.

Thanks

I have found Fir Meadow herbals to work. It is not a cheap route to go. You also have to give herbs much more frequently (no matter what herbs you give) to help with the problem. I do like using them. I also use chemical dewormers. How you like them will depend on how many goats you have and if you mind/don't mind the frequency to administer if they have worms. Herbals are great for helping keep worms at bay if you do the suggested weekly administration.

I mix my own only because I can't buy pre-mixed here. I could ship, but way too expensive.

I give garlic frequently to boost immune system.

I have also cured minor cocci with herbals.

I have no problems using chemicals if it is needed.
