Daisy and little joe seem to be big buddys now. Jesse on the other hand is being run out of the goat house and is off on her own could this be because jesse is bred and daisy isnt? After I am sure daisy is bred joe will return to his buck pen. The reason I put joe in with them is to make sure both girls are bred and its my first year breeding so I still have alot to learn.

well Joe could sense that she is bred an nolonger a use to him or he is just centering on Daisy because she is in heat.

I just feel sorry for Jesse. Daisy isn't due to come into heat until Dec 7.

Some bucks just have a tendency to not like certain does, when we pen breed we make sure that if the buck kicks certain does out that those does have another place to sleep and eat hay.

I have a feeling that he can already sense/smell that she is coming in to heat soon, so he is focusing on her. My 8 goats all live together, including the buck and I can watch their behavior and note when someone is getting bred. When they are getting close he sticks to them like glue, doesn't harass or mount until ready but keeps her close by at all times and pushes others away. I say he is romancing her so that when the time is right she is receptive. I have 2 shelters for them so if they get pushed out of one there is another. I bet it will all be back to normal in a couple of weeks.
