    Hi,

Although I've got tons of experience with cattle and Arabian horses, I've decided to start a meat goat herd. I have 10 kikos that will be delivered within a few weeks, and earlier today I put a downpayment on several does and a buckling:

On the cattle boards I've been the one dishing out experience, but now I'm the rookie. I've read a ton of things, and talked to many people - but I'm sure there are many mistakes to come! I plan on running a commercial operation and I hope to have mostly kiko does crossed with the boer buck.

Any advice for an extremely wet behind the ears rookie whose about to dive in with kikos and percentage boers?

Welcome, yep, I agree your experience with the big ruminants will come in handy with the smaller ones.

That lil' guy is sure to be a big boy as he matures, good choice.
