Looks like he is training beautifully! Have you encountered any other animals (dogs or horses, etc) on your hikes yet and how has he done?

Aww, such fun! So glad we get to go on your adventures with you! I have to admit, when I saw the dome house, I looked to see if he was standing on top of it!

Okay mystery for who ever would like to solve it. Since the above hikes we have moved, I haven't been doing to much hiking but I have been walking Mufasa lot on the road down to the mailbox (3 miles round trip) he is a happy healthy yearling now but he has lost weight when you look at time you can see his back two ribs. His FAMANCHA is good and he acts fine. Here's the mystery, I started him on grain, bout a cup a day.he is growing in his height and is gaining weight but not on his ribs or back bone.
The only thing I figure is that he is putting the grain towards growing in stead of weight. Am i worrying to much or do I need to do something else/more?

We would need to know his total diet. Have you had a fecal done to include coccidia?

I agree, I would get a fecal for worms and cocci just in case.

Yes I did get a fecal done, all clear for worms and cocci. His diet is free alfalfa soon to be Timothy hay, a cup of oats once a day the hay is free range. He has gained a little bit of weight in the past week, I can't see his ribs any more but he could stand to gain a few more pounds.

I would recommend that you look on Amazon for the book Diet for Wethers by Carolyn Eddy.
It focuses specifically on pack wethers and UC issues.
