I don't disbud after 3 weeks - but prefer to do it at 1 week for boys and no later then 2 weeks for girls. However, as soon as they start appearing is the best.

The "button" will be the size of the disbudding iron

 

Yeah, We waited till 6 weeks once and it was horrible.

 

Everything I read said 7-10days old, but if you dont feel any buds then might the kid be polled? Got any pics?

 

7-10 days is perfect. More than likely if you don't feel anything at that time then they are polled.

 

it really depends on the breed. Anything older thena week especially bucks with alpines is too hard to do. I prefere two to five days. Some as young as twenty four hours old. Nubians and nigies you can wait longer. I have done nigies as old as six to eight weeks.
