How do I keep my mini Nubian's cool during 100+ temps outside? I have shelters for each goat yard and we can have the sprinklers going. We work during the day so the goats will get fresh water before we leave and as soon as we get back. I was thinking about putting block ice in the water buckets. What does everyone else do? Thank you in advance.

It's 110 today and will be 114 or so tomorrow. My Toggs hate it but they hunker down in the trees and don't move till sundown. With enough water they're fine.

I agree shade and water. It turned hot fast here and they seem to be doing just fine. I do dump their water and refill if their water gets grossly warm, but Im home all day long, with you the ice would work, just make sure that their water buckets hold more then they need while you are gone. Frozen water expands so with the blocks its not as full as it looks :)

I don't do anything special when it's hot. They have shelter, plenty of water, and their horns and they do just fine.
