I wait til day 140 and start watching....though most times my girls go on 145 or 146...My Tilly has kidded on 143 before....140 is when I start watching them like a hawk.
Well....I usually watch for kidding signs about a week before. Depends on each doe though. I make sure to have everything I need at least 2 to 3 weeks in advance.
I am ready with all my kidding supplies by day 140. The kidding stall is usual cleaned out and ready to house the new mother and kid/s as well. mine tend to kid 146-150
OK, I feel really dumb. I have it all ready when I put them in with the buck. But about 2-3 weeks before I go check it all again to make sure i have not lost anything or thought I had something that I do not have. I had one doe abort at about 2-1/3 months so I needed thing that I could not find at the time, that is why I have it ready so early.
