Destiny pulls the buck lip on me if I am wearing a smell she doesnt agree with. Gizmo puts his head against me at the spot where the smell is.
My only perfume is either buck or barn.

Yep that’s all I wear as well.
No perfume here but I have a doe that loves Bare Minerals make up. She will do whatever she can to wash your face if you wear it around her.

You know, guys, I hadn’t paid any attention to it until I saw this thread. Guess what? I’ve noticed that my goats don’t like my perfume! So, I guess the time has come to ask my husband for a new perfume. Btw, this perfume was Chanel Chance. So, yeah, my goats turned out to have a really good sense of smell. Btw, eventually, I decided to replace it with Gucci Bloom. It was the first perfume I found on https://www.decantx.com, so I thought it was my fate. So, I hope my goats will like it…

The scent my son wears brings out an urge to rumble amongst the wethers here. You know, hackles rise up, body gets tense, they start dancing on their feet, and if I wasn't close by, there is no doubt the most dominant would have reared up against him. The imp even snuck in a small nip to my sons back below the shoulder blade, and then ran off when he saw me throwing the eye and a stern "NO!" in his direction. None of my boys have ever show any hint of aggression towards any person, ever. And, they haven't jumped up on anyone except maybe once or twice as weanlings, they learned quickly and easily that type of behavior was unacceptable. From all appearances, the wethers behaved in a way I can only describe as wanting a Buck Fight. (The cologne smells as if there is a musky undertone to the scent.) Rule is, if my son enters any area the goats are in, he has to shower off the cologne first or risk a goat stomping. He has decided outside of the fence was close enough for him and if there was a need to enter an enclosure, the grandchildren could handle putting out hay or whatever needed to be done.

That is hilarious!!! I can't really recall ours acting strange to perfume/body spray, but if you've brushed your teeth or eaten something that leaves your breath smelling good or like cookies they are in your face lol!!

Is air freshener harmful to goats?

I don’t think any inhaled chemicals would be good. Never used them around goats… don’t see the purpose here.
