Try not to check for milk. They have a special plug that keeps bacteria from entering the teats and causing mastitis.
It can be very frustrating without a due date, boy do I know this since I don’t have a single due date on any of mine this year lol but just try and watch for signs of labor. The udders are not always the best to go off of. I’ve had ones that looked like they would split in half for well over a month and have had ones that didn’t have much of anything until labor.
