I got a 5 day old saneen kid at a 4-h function and need to know how much to feed this girl and how many times a day. I have ND- so big goats are new to me. I fed her 12+ ounces this evening. Am I under or over feeding her? What do most people with large dairy breeds feed? Thanks
Thanks Stacey. She seems starving. Before I read your email she gulped down 14 ounces this am and was looking for more.
I would just feed her more often. You dont need her getting the runs or bloat. Once she realizes she will get fed more often she wont act as starved. She probably needed a feeding during the night, she is still less then a week old. I dont take out night time feedings till they are at least a week if not two weeks old.
