So my FF Pygmy Nigerian cross just gave birth to a healthy buckling. She seems very hungry, she gets free choice alfalfa hay, loose minerals, baking soda and 1/2 a cup of grain a day. Should I increase her grain? This was my first kidding also :: sorry I can not get the pic to load right way :worried:

I would slowly increase her grain. She is now making milk for the kid and needing to keep weight on. You will have to judge on how much. My girls get 3 cups twice a day when in milk but I also milk them once kids are off them.

Dumor show quality feed, we also use manna goat minerals.

Ok. I agree I would slowly increase it to one cup at least, maybe two cups?
