I went to let the girls out today and couldn't find Ruby (older Boer doe) in the dry lot, she had crawled up under their shed that the wind destroyed over the weekend. I squeezed through the hole and couldn't get her up, ended up dragging her as best as I could (guesstimate on weight is 150+ lbs) as far as I could. DH came home from work for lunch and helped me move her, we had to pick her up and put her in the wheelbarrow. I put her in the barn. I don't know why she's just so "blah". Supposedly she was bred maybe sometime in November, as best as the guy could guess - she looks pregnant. She's pooping normal, peeing and her temp was 101.9 (which may not be a final temp as she wasn't very cooperative with this) and she actually got up from me checking that since she wasn't thrilled about it. She moved fine when she got up and walked over and drank a bunch of water. Her CDT is up to date, she was dewormed with Ivermectin (horse paste at 3x body weight) back in mid January, but from her eyelids I see she could use another dose. When she got up she drank, but isn't acting hungry. There are no green feeds in their dry lot, just grass hay free fed and I feed pelleted ration in the evenings. She doesn't seem bloated, her rumen is big, but it always is, and it isn't tight feeling. Since I don't have any idea on an accurate due date, I am feeling for ligaments, which I'm not feeling now, but she's also not bagged up much if any that I can tell, but she doesn't have any discharge or any indications of labor. As best I could tell from the vague time frame I got she would be due around April - all I got was "yeah she was in with the buck a month, maybe a month and a half ago" when I got her in January. This isn't like her, she's usually about first to meet me at the gate and pushy. I can't get in to the vet until tomorrow, our goat vet is an hour away and because my oldest son got kicked off the bus for being an a-hole, I have to pick him up and won't be back in time, and I can't get her in the trailer by myself anyway. I did give her a shot of B complex just because "it can't hurt" and another dose of dewormer. Any ideas?
