I can’t tell if it’s an injury or some kind of rot

We started a little hobby goat farm last year. I discovered this on only one of my goats. Between her hooves are fine. It’s just the heel area on one foot that looks like this. I’ve tried to do some research but there seems to be a lot of opinions etc. should I soak and treat with a spray? Wrap it?

I’m so unsure. None of our other goats have hoof/heel issues.

That looks like mites to me. I would clean that area out, maybe with an iodine solution, and then put Nustock on it. The Nustock may need to be reapplied daily.

I agree. Looks like mites ...leg mites are imo a huge pain.
Wash and gently scrub off the scabs. Soaking in very warm water with with bit if iodine or vinegar may help loosen the scabs. Pat dry and apply nustock. I would also give the goat a shot of ivomectin injectable 1 cc per 40 pounds once a week for 3 weeks.
Boosting immune system helps too with fresh raw garlic, vit c and b complex. Give probiotics 3 to 4 hours after ivomectin.

Welcome to the forum!!

Best wishes

Yes, that looks like mites.
Treatment is 1cc per 40lbs sub q of ivermectin, wash with warm soapy water to remove scabs and then apply Nustock every other day.

Thank you everyone for the reccomendations. Her leg is all cleaned up, gave ivermectin and have been putting nustock on. It looks like it’s doing pretty good. But the last two nights she hasn’t laid down except for about an hour each night. She is eating and drinking great, good poos. I have cameras on them. Putting some extra shavings down to help soften the picky straw but any other ideas?
Is she in her own stall?

Glad she is clearing up.

Glad she is clearing up.
She isn’t, I treated everyone with the ivermectin. There’s only 4 of them. All fresh bedding. I could separate her and put her with her sister but it’s supposed to be crazy cold here the next two nights.
Separating her with her sister, good clean thick bedding might help.
She may be getting bullied by another goat, so she won’t lay down.
