I don't know about this kid, she kind of fits into our herd...but...

OMG... so anyone who knows me knows Mindy is my goat, my 4th child. She is a spoiled brat 5yo who was an itty bitty triplet runt when she was born, bottle raised, lived in the house for 2 weeks wearing diapers and onesies.
Last year she became herd queen. She knows she is a goat, she is very smart, checks gates and knows she can get away with pretty much anything with us.
She had a c-section last month, had a minor setback with infection at the bottom of the incision causing it to rupture a bit, so when we took stitches out it opened up. Took her to vet and she was pleased with how it looked. That was almost 3 weeks ago and she is nearly healed. But because she wants to fight and the others want to fight with her for dominance, we've had to keep her separated from the herd with her doe kid (her buck kid sadly didn't make it - cleft palate of all things :( ).

So... lil Miss Mindy is a riot. Her nickname is Turkey or Lil 'Turkey... she knows her name is Turkey and will yell when you call for her lol. I am terrible... she needs a real name...lol Mindy won't be having anymore kids, so I really need to find a fitting name for this fireball! She is so funny, wild, silly, spoiled, OMG I just adore her so much.
Every day her antics are priceless. From somehow getting stuck inside a cooler on the back deck that was on it's side... I was right there, heard it sliding a bit, open the lid and surprise...There's Lil'Turkey! lol

Anyway... the other day I was giving Mindy animal crackers. She is absolutely obsessed of course, and would live off of them if she could.
I thought hmm... I'll let Lil'Turkey smell one... well it wasn't the reaction I was expecting....lol! Tell me guys, how can this be Mindy's kid? She was protesting and all I did was hold them out for her to smell lol. Funny thing, after having babies born last night I went across to her stall to say hi, she smelled my hand and acted the same way as she did in this video...so funny lol!

A few days before that I had them out, I try to get them out as much as I can during the day since we don't have a pen for them - hoping to make something today maybe since we need a turnout pen for new moms/babies. I can't have Mindy share a fenceline with other does or they will fight...
I don't let goats in our little feed stall, but Mindy opened the gate and Lil'Miss Turkey went in and instantly found the old tote I keep Barn Lime/PDZ in. The box was rocking...and that's all she needed, she had so much fun playing on it and trying to make it rock...lol

Love the pictures! Silly turkey is so cute. Hahaha well don't leaveyour phone laying out Mindy may try to report you forc putting her grain back . pretty sure turkey will assist and tell of how you tried to force tainted cookies down her then try to starve her mother into eating the cookies lol.

I have a running joke with my husband. horses get alfalfa and sometimes orchard grass mixed in it. The big filly always comes over once the alfalfa is gone and stuck with "regular " hay to complain she is wasting away and has "nothing" to eat.

OMG they would definitely turn me in after yesterday lol!!! I tortured Turkey and Mindy for sure! I made them stay outside ALL DAY lol. We have a grassy area between the back of the kidding barn and the main doe pen - so when does are in the doe pen they aren't fighting through the fence with the does in the kidding barn area. well.. nobody was in that main doe pen, only 3 of the 5 does were in the kidding barn (other 2 in the back of our place grazing for the day), so I put Mindy and Turkey in that grassy spot to graze and enjoy sunshine. It was torture... Turkey was telling me all about it lol. She has a barrel she sleeps in when she's in the stall, that is literally the only place she ever sleeps, so funny because she barely fits in it! So yep...torture and abuse right there!

LOL! Yep cause apparently I am a Baaaaaad goat mama lol

Here she is a couple of hours ago... I didn't have a chance to zoom in, she seemed to know I was taking her picture. She gave me this look, acting like it was the end of the world because I let a doe and her little babies out of the stall so I could put down some fresh bedding...
She stood there for several minutes just...mad lol

BTW, she did actually get to go out for a while to stretch her legs and steal hay from the other feeders lol. Turkey got to play and try to knock over a warming barrel I have in the barn aisle (waiting on new babies to arrive), not once...twice...but like 4x lol. Then snuck into the feed stall, knocked my nearly empty lime tub over and then tried to finish it off by climbing on it's side while I was trying to grab her - stinker!

It's been raining off and on all day otherwise I would have been mean and made them go outside as much as possible!
