After 47 years of waiting.... well, maybe not but... I went out to do chores this morning and found my Alpine doe had given birth to three doelings! Unfortunately, one of them was dead but the other two appear to be doing well. When I checked on her late last night she was still showing zero signs of impending labor. I'm really bummed about the one I lost, if I'd been there I'm sure she would be alive. But, I'm very grateful for the two little girls that I have. I must say I didn't expect to see no signs of her going into labor and then having babies on the ground this morning.

    Here's a couple of pictures:

I'm probably going to keep one of them. I'll decide as they get older.

Oh, my gosh, they're gorgeous. :leap: I didn't know Alpines could come in that brown color ( Sorry, still new to goats).

Sorry you lost the one, but congrats on the surviving sisters. :stars:

    Adorable little cuties! :leap: Congratulations!

So sorry for your loss, but please don't blame yourself. There may have been something wrong with the one that died, and even if you had been there, it may not have survived anyway.

Cinder, OH Finally. I am so glad that she waited until the weather was nice. They are adorable.

Hey do not beat your self up over the one that did not make it. You have NO IDEA if you could of saved her. She might of been born dead. It happens to everyone at one time or another.

I am assuming that you never go the camera to work? It should of worked up to 350 feet, but if it is going thou a lot of buildings and things that is why it did not work. Mine had to go thou two wood walls and I had perfect reception.

I am just happy that you have two beautiful baby girls.
