I have a lamancha. Cali mae she will be 2 in march. She was not bottled fed . I got her at 3 months . She has always done this crazy head roll then body spin. She only does it when she is anxious or sees us and we dont have time to visit.
She is calm and normal until that starts then she screeches like a banshee . She is healthy and has what she needs. Its been a constant her whole life.
She had a baby . Daisy mae . she has learned the head roll body spin and screeching as well.
They didnt seem sick
They only do it when they are nit getting there way basically.
Any ideas

I think that is learned behavior, if it bothers you try spraying them with a spray bottle and see if it helps. If the behavior is not bothering you I would say just let them be. Also if she has more kids for you don't let her raise them, and see if they do the same thing.
Definitely learned behavior. Was she your only goat? Do you only have the 2 now?

No I got a billy that was born two days before her . His mom passed after delivery. So he was bottle fed . When he was 3 months I got her and put them in the fence together.
They later had Daisy mae.

I have tried everything I can think of and she still does it. The head roll spin doesn't hurt her i guess so if it makes her happy🤪 she just looks crazy lol
But they screeching like a banshee is the only bother. I know goats tend to scream for no reason . I was prepared for that but this is awful. It seems the older she gets the louder the screeching.
She seems to do it more like i said when she sees us.
I don't know how she would have learned behavior. Her mother didn't do that and my billy doesn't.
Daisy Mae followed right along so I really feel hers is learned behavior. She also learned how to be a escape artist like her dad .
I love them so. I just need a way to calm her crazy antics so I can enjoy more time with them. I have began to hurry into the house trying to make no eye contact so I wont set her off .
I am at a loss of ideas.

I had a nubian who did much the same. Jasmine would do a back bend while front legs on the fence and then twirl her head about. Some goats are just quirky. As long as she's healthy otherwise I wouldn't worry.

I agree each goat has a personality of there own.
I didn't think it was health issue because she has done this since I got her and daisy mae learned it from her.
I just didn't know if I had the only goats that spin lol.
I am still struggling with the screaming🤪 may just have to wear ear plugs

Oh my gosh, my Jasmine is the only one of my goats who does this, exactly as you described. Maybe it’s the name. We used to call it her spicy dance move. Now we call it the exorcist.
