...into the goat world again

I've been looking at and researching different breeds, trying to pick a favorite. I came across the mini silky fainters and long story short I'm going to go pick up 2 young does Monday. We went to go look at them last week and talked to the lady for hours. They are all health tested and she had a super nice set up. These girls are going to be pets. They are really friendly and calm. They are 9 months old, we actually share a b-day. I hadn't planned on getting a goat just yet, but it all kind of oddly fell into place. I spent this week shopping for goat supplies and getting it all set up. I already have the hay and alfalfa, but I picked up some BOSS, sweetlix loose minerals, kelp, salt and a few other things. I haven't decided on feeding a grain yet. I don't think they'll need it with all the grass, weeds, leaves, trees, hay and alfalfa. If I do go with a grain does anyone have any experience with ADM feeds? I love there horse line, but I'm not familiar with their goat products. I've read the goat supplies list and I think I have or can get most of everything Ill need. I keep a lot of meds and supplies on hand for the horses(accident prone creatures :p ) and what I don't have I can pick up at tractor supply or order from work(vet). Ill be coming here for lots of advice and to share pics of the girls.

Got them home Monday afternoon and they settled in quickly. They follow me everywhere and they are soooo friendly.
The bigger girl is Kara and I haven't named the younger(4 months old) one yet.
Here are a few pictures from earlier today. Its hard to get them to hold still. :p

Carmen- I think its too late. Lol. I might be putting a deposit down on 2 kids now. I like the tattoo idea, that made me laugh. :)

Lottsagoats- thank you :)
They are from longhaired parents, but the older girl Kara isn't going to get much hair, the little girl will probably get a bit more though. Im still learning about them, so I'm not really sure how long it takes to come in. They have some that have coats that drag the ground, like a silky terrier dog. They are really cute. Ill see if I can find a picture of a longhaired one.
Vv I took this off the msfga site, not my pic ;)
