    Which kind did you get?

I got a Rival brand that uses salt and ice to freeze....and I also use those neat and easy ice cream mixes from Walmart.....The vanilla and Chocolate are delicious!

oh that will be plenty -- freezing the base is perfect (thats what I have) you never have to make sure youhave enough ice on hand or salt, just electricity. :)

I love the packets from rival - makes making icecream a cinch

Once you get used to making icecream..try making yogurt with goatsmilk and then use your new icecream freezer to make frozen yogurt...awesome stuff! O and Blackberries are going to be soooooobountiful here in another 2-3 weeks, the raspberries already are...and you will have to try strawberries and peaches in the ice cream goodness I can go on and on with the yummy possibilities!

Indiana icecream maker! I love homemade goat milk icecream!!!

My second cousins gave us the best recipe ever!

Homemade Ice Cream for a 5 or 6 quart mixer

    2-1/2 cups sugar
    6 eggs beaten
3 C. heavy whipping cream (this is what makes it really creamy!)
    2 C. milk
    2 T. vanilla
    5 drops lemon extract
6 junket tablets (disolved in a small amount of water)

Mix all ingredients together, except junket, and heat.

Pour into ice cream tin, add 1 quart and 1 cup of milk.
Add junket and freeze in your ice cream maker!

This is really good with oreos! We have also added fresh fruit, cookie dough balls, etc.

It can be made without the junket. We found that our when our Walmart stopped carrying it. :(

    Enjoy!!! :leap:
