Cindy is due to kid in 5 days. I'm not so sure. Here are a few shots I took, let me know if you need better pictures to work with. Her Twin Mindy has the waddles, I do not believe she is pregnant at all. Since there has been no changes with her. I did witness Cindy being bred.

I would say no also because she has no udder development - now I have, one time, seen them get it all once they deliver - but that is extremely rare

How many days before should her udder swell?

Also...is this common? I saw the buck breed her twice, then left them be for 2 weeks. So he could have done it more. I dont understand why it woould not have taken. So dissapointed :(

She may be bred, but just not as far along as you think. Does anyone do ultrasounds around where you are? That would be a sure way to find out!

They typically will start to udder up at least a month before- you usually see even a teeny udder starting a month and a half out though

Sometimes they just dont take- or reabsorb somewhere along the way for whatever reason

Maybe she was bred at the end of that two week period and her udder will start to develop fast, but Im guessing she is open.

She really doesn't look bred to me, a breeding date would be ideal.......she likely didn;t settle or even resorbed, but most does do have some udder a month before delivery.

She bred march 17th then again on the 18th. The buck stayed for another 2 weeks after these dates. I figured it was safe to send him home since I saw the breeding take place.

Unless she is the type of doe to build an udder quickly, which is rare, then I'd say that she either didn't settle or she resorbed. Sorry

With those dates, she would be on day 146 now....unlikely that she is bred with no udder building.

If you can get both girls with the buck in October, you'll have March babies

They are sure to have a stronger heat in the coming months so that you can know for sure when to breed them.
