:girl: :girl: :girl: Indy kidded this evening with triplet does. The first and very large doe didn't make it. It was lodged and had to be pulled out. I believe she had been stuck for a while and had expired ineutero. However, the other two tiny girls are doing well. Indy is a great and patience mother who handled the pulling of the first one very well.

I would like to thank Kate Helms for her help with this difficult and, for me, tramatic delivery. This was my first assist. Girl, I simply do not know what I would have done with out you!!

Too tired to write anymore. Here are our little blessings!

Re: Indy kidded w/ triplet does

Congrats on the new girls. Good thing you were there to help her. Assisting for the first time is always scary, but you did it and from now on it wont be quite so scary.

Congratulations on the babies. It is very scary the first time you have to help deliver. I am sorry that it was not a better outcome but it was a good thing you were there because of the two of you, you have two beautiful babies and a mom.

We got Momma and babies out in the sun today. The babies are acting like two week olds....running and jumping. So silly! The babies are a blend of Little Tots Estate dam and Kaco Yellow Rose buck.

    CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

First time assists are always scary.....and still scary each time after but less nervous.

Very good thing you had Kate and were able to help Indy, you are very lucky to have those sweet little girls....very pretty too!

    Thank you!
The hardest part was not knowing when to safely intervien. After I got Kate on the phone and she said "DO IT NOW", I felt so much better about it. I am not sure how much longer I would have waited, but just having a calming voice on the phone made a huge impact on the outcome of this delivery.
My Doula and Midwife training were in full affect. LOL!

Nope. :) The owner started w/ pygmies. And he's a judge for the NPGA. I don't know if he still does raise pygmies, I think he does since he is in the NPGA breeder's listings...:)
