:girl: Paula Dean kidded at 8:30 this morning with a single doeling! (I can't believe she had a singleton, Paula was HUGE!) Giada is an adorable, curly haired black with frosting. I can't tell for sure yet if her eyes are blue or will turn brown... Sire is my Billy Boy Blue buck. This is his first kid!!
Re: Introducing Giada! Wow! She is big! Do you have a weight on her? CONGRATS! :stars: :girl: :stars:
Re: Introducing Giada! LOL She's not that big, the photo is misleading (Paula is on the far side of the stall, about 3 feet back). I'd say she's around 2.5 or 3 lbs.
Re: Introducing Giada! What a doll. Have you bounced mom to make sure that is all that was hiding? That second picture I believe she is saying hi to all of us.
Re: Introducing Giada! What a doll! Her mommy looks the same color as my Boots!....I bet Giada is dark agouiti when she dries, it's always a pleasant surprise to see what they get from each parent. Congratulations!
Re: Introducing Giada! You nailed it! She's dark grey agouti with blue eyes. Striking! Took me awhile to decide about her eyes - I've had brown eyed kids born with blue eyes and I was skeptical. But her blue is ICE blue (as compared to the dark blue that brown eyed kids are born with)...rimmed with light tan like her dad's eyes. You can see how blue they are in the pic above, I was just being unsure of my luck  a doeling AND blue eyed to boot. Happy start to these kiddings!
Re: Introducing Giada! Congrats! .she look cute even with goop on her. Can't wait to see some de-gooped pics. Suellen
Re: Introducing Giada! Congrats on the beautiful doe! :stars: What a great way to start off your kidding season... an adorable blue eyed doe!!!!
Re: Introducing Giada! Here she is all fluffy! Look at those BLUE EYES! I am so happy with my new buck!
What a beauty!!! Hmmmm I think I may need to get me one of those blue eyed agouti goaties...lol....she is gorgeous!
when I see those pygmy faces I want a pygmy so bad..........but after all my difficulties with them I am happy to stick with my ND.
Thats why I have nigi/pygmy crosses....the best of both! lol Thankfully and hopefully I will continue to have does that kid with the ease of nigi's .....and the kids are just too sweet!
