Emma kidded at 10:30 this morning with a gorgeous buckling. She went into labor, and as soon as her water broke I knew we were in trouble. This kid is HUGE. She couldn't even present his feet, altho he was presented correctly. I had to go in, pull out his legs, then use a pulling cord to catch his head. It took two of us to get him out. Two stuck kids in a row. Singletons...argh! We got him out, he was somewhat stressed for the first 10 minutes but pulled around. She is really tired, but has fully recovered already. Anyway, this little (big) guy is already bouncing all over the barn and is SO friendly! He's a roan buckskin, just like mom YAY with brown eyes and some white. He will be retained. Ben couldn't be happier...
What a gorgeous little boy - thanks for sharing - and here's to hoping for some multiple little ones to be born without needing assistance!!
What a handsomely colored boy! My goodness...certainly looks like a trend going with your girls...hope the next birth is twin doelings!
Awesome coloring on him! Glad you were there to help your girl out. I hope you get some twins soon and some easier birthings.
What a handsome fellow-interesting coloring to. Yeah, i'd rather a doe have twins than a singleton-most times it makes for an easier delivery. I hate when it's more than triplets though.
