Hi there!
I'm planning on buying a bred Nigerian Dwarf doe and I've got two purebred Nubian does and a Mini Nubian doeling. What are some of your methods for introducing a new goat to your herd? I want to make sure nobody gets hurt, especially since the new doe is pregnant for October kids. The does I've got now are really sweet, so I don't think their should be issues I just figured it couldn't hurt to see how others introduced new goaties to the herd :)

On another, but still relevant note, my does are CAE & CL negative as is the new doe. YAY!

Thanks in advance!

Maybe put her in a pen next to the Nubs for a few days?
Watch for their hackles to go up. They might knock her around a bit when put in with them but as long as there are no direct hits to the right side she should be fine.

Okay, thank you! I was thinking of introducing them to each other through the fence first. Hopefully I get the new doe and everyone can 'play nice'!
