I am in search of a 5th or 6th Generation Mini-Mancha Doe or Doeling for the 2014 kidding season. (Not this year, but next. Plenty of time!) Thought I'd get the word out there early while everyone is making their breeding plans for the year.

For reference I currently have:

Lazy J Capt. CS Waller AML01982h

47.85% LaMancha / 52.15% Nigerian Dwarf

Gen 5

Sire: Desertwinds Flight Captain Hiltz AML01716
SS: Desertwinds Pocket Aces BL00088A
SD: Desertwinds Emma DL00198

Dam: Feral Nature Ruby Red AML01761
DS: A2Z Bandera AML00848
DD: A2Z Speckles AML00896

Hi, I just started breeding season and I will have babies starting in January. I have been working on culling my herd down to only the best does and bucks I can find, I may not have 5th and 6th gen babies this year because I am trying to focus on Quality not the generations. So take a look at my breeding schedule to see what I am expecting. I am taking deposits now to reserve the kids before they are born.

Thanks

I agree. I probably shouldn't be hung up on generations either. Thank you for the direction in focus. As small as our gene pool here in Texas is, we should definitely be more concerned with quality.

I will definitely take a look!
