Hello I use Ivermectin pour on for my adult goats and wonder if it's safe to give to kids and at what age?
Thank you

I pour it on there back
Pour on doesn't work for internal parasites. Some have success with lice. I prefer not to use ivimec product on kids under 6 months old. Early research showed can cause brain damage in some kids. There are safer options.

Shoot I have been using the pour on because I thought it killed internal parasites and lice.
@happybleats If you don't mind me jumping in, what are better options for kids? I'm pretty sure my month old kids are dealing with mites. I was hesitant to use ivermectin pour on, which I use on my adult goats.

For lice..Cylence works well and safe for kids. I beleive it's 3 weeks old and up? I'll have to double check. Maybe a week old and up lol. Booster in 10 days..and again in 10 days seems to work well. With mites I would use topical solutions since area is unlikely to be massive. Nustock works or tea tree ess. Oil in a bit of olive oil rubbed in location a few times a day until gone.

Ugh I'm sorry. You will need an oral treatment, like a sheep drench or horse paste..valbazen or even ivimec injectable use orally to address internal parasites. If using injectable ivomec, inject if the goat is heavy loaded or anemic..then booster orally.
If you still have lice issue, try Cylence . It works and it's safe for pregnant does and young kids.
Note: if you want one product, injectable ivomec can kill both internal parasites and lice/mites used injected. 1 cc per 40 pounds sub q. Booster weekly for 3 weeks for mites. This stings..so expect a reaction. Dint use on kids under 6 months old.

For internal parasites topically doesn’t work as well.

I have been using Ivomec injectable orally for worms and I have used Ivomec pouron for lice and mites, in my 1 month olds for years now, no issues.

Is it safe to deworm, copper bolus, and selinium vitamin all once? Can the kids still nurse?
Thank you
Are you talking about adults or kids? I personally prefer to only do one thing at a time so I can tell what is causing the problem if a goat reacts to anything.

Sorry meant to put for the adults
It is OK to worm, give copper bolus and selenium at the same time, yes.
