I need to worm all of my goats but which wormer should I use? I thought ivomec is good for goats but I have Pygmys and I don't know how much to give them? And I have twin does that are going to be 2 months old June 13th so when do I give the wormer to them and should i give them their cdt by now?Thanks

I just dosed my herd with Ivomec injectable -orally at 1cc per 22#.

We do ours orally as well. You can start the 2 mo olds on their first round of cdt.
We usually dont worm till weaning, if that.

Where are you located? Some areas of the country have more severe worm situations then others. So, Texans have more of an issue then the "cold" states. We don't de-worm on a schedule. I check eyes/mucus membranes and if pale I de-worm. Also, there is a new protocol for de-wormers, do not rotate, use 1 till it stops working and then use another.

I usually give the cd/t shot at disbudding, then I give it again at weaning and 30 days later.
