While I was at Jess' House I managed to get some photos of the goats before it got completely Dark. Can you tell me what breeds they are? And yes, snowy needs his hooves trimmed and mixer was rolling in wet grass :

Mixer looks like a Toggenburg, and Snowy may be a nubian-saanen cross. Mixer has a really sweet face, and the pic of Snowy rubbing on his person is too cute. Despite the "adverse conditions" the photos came out really nice. :D
I think Snowy is part saanen because of the spots on his nose and inside his ears, which are common with saanens. Also, saanen crosses tend to be very light in coloration, like he is.

I think so too, and I think Evil Snowy is maybe Nubian mixed with Alpine, Togg, or Saanen, not sure which. lol.

    LOL

Yes, I definitely agree with the first one looking like a Togg (I have no clue how I skipped over that first pic  ). Very sweet goats!

I would say Mixer is Toggenburg and if Snowy is evil he must be part pygmy!! :slapfloor:

wow thanks everyone... I love mixers face aswell he is the cute one

Snowy was young when they got him, the other goats at the auctions where being mean to him so they bought him for around $20.

Mixer was older when they got him and he was $30 but he is really cute lol... bit of a troublemaker though. He seems to be able to get through fences one way and not get back through the other way without a fight lol

Snowy is actually very big so I doubt he is part pygmy! xD Oh! and he has a Mohawk that goes all the way down his back, you cant see it well in these pics coz its black

lol Thanks again for helping me. Im bad when it comes to breeds..

That stripe down his back is called a dorsal stripe, most commonly found in chamoisee color patterns.

I agree with the others ... Mixer appears to have alot of togg, and Snowy appears to have alot of nubian and something else (alpine ?)

I would agree about Mixer being Togg but not sure about Snowy... here's a picture of a Nubian / Saanen cross...

(it being the only one practically that I could find without me in it...)

as you can see, her ears are a /lot/ larger than Snowy's, although her coloration is a bit similar. i would think from his facial markings that he could have some Togg in there too. Maybe he came from a Togg/Saanen cross then crossed with a Saanen/Nubian cross or something... maybe someone was reaaally bad there at keeping the breeds separate

oh and, while I'm at it, welcome to The Goat Spot , Pappy , finally managed to remember that you're not Morgan *grins*

i think they are just random pet goats not for breeding or anything lol
