Just wanted to share...set finally finished!

    Our fifth child is due this summer, and I've been slowly working on making stuff for the baby. I finished the baby quilt today, and I just wanted to share it. I got the idea from a lamp I saw on Amazon. It's a Carters baby lamp in green and brown (we're not finding out the sex of the baby, so we have to stay gender-neutral), and I fell in love with the little elephant on it. So, I drew out an applique pattern and went to work. I have the pieces cut out for the bumper pad, so I should be able to finish that in a couple of weeks (working after the kids go to bed takes some time...)

    So, what do you all think?

    Thanks, everyone. I really enjoy sewing (even though I don't get much time for it anymore...) I'll post photos of the whole set once it's complete. :)

    Thank you so much for the kind words, everyone. My progress is completely stalled on the bumper pad...my sewing machine broke last weekend. Arrgh! I have to send it away to Roanoke (2 hours away) for repair, and I'll get it back in about 3-4 weeks. So, I guess patience really will be a virtue in this case...
    :wink: At least I have plenty of time before the baby comes...

    That is very beautiful! Incredible work!
    Its cool you are waiting to find out. I did that with both of mine. Both are girls almost 2yrs and almost 6 mos. :) It is a fun surprise! :hi5:
