Has anyone tried either one of these?
My friend just shared these with me and I thought I would pass them on. I knew for dilation issues you could rub a little bit of lute on a cervix or you can give a some calcium but that stuff's pretty nasty. So this essential oil (Clary Sage oil) might be a whole lot nicer way to do it. There's also a recipe for use with ketosis and stressed animals that I thought I would share. It should be noted I haven't used these yet but I thought it sounds pretty good.

“… on a gloved hand on the very opening…” opening of what? Kinda sound like she means the vulva, but wouldn’t it make more sense to rub it on the cervix?

I'm sure it's on the cervix cuz you can do it with a gloved hand with a little bit of lute calcium you have to give orally which they hate because it's nasty and burns from what I've been told. Though that's what a vet had me do one time with a doe who was not dilating.

Not sure about the clary sage oil, but I recommend Evening Primrose Oil (open gel capsule for human and put on a gloved hand), and massage in to the cervix to dilate. Works very well.
