KGG 2023 kidding thread!
I’m super excited to announce my breeding/kidding plans for this year! I’ll post the does and who they are bred to.
First up is Andi! She is an unregistered Nigerian dwarf. She is already bred and confirmed via pee test. She is due November 8th. Bred to Bobby, also unregistered ND.

Cleaned a big stall and divided it for them. Since Ginger and Panda are due the same day and they are best friends, I want them to be able to be near each other. I think they will be less stressed that way. Panda will get the slightly bigger side so that she will feel she has that much more room to get away from me since she’s still on the skittish side. But getting better! My kidding kit is pretty much done and I’ll put bedding in the stall closer to the date.

At the same time I may need all the time I can get before kids are here lol In about 6-7 weeks I can start milking 
I’ve been working towards this since April 2021. I didn’t milk my first two nigi does because one of them passed a month after kidding and the other one I just didn’t want to mess with since she wasn’t friendly and I didn’t have a stand built here yet. Then Andi was supposed to be pregnant for November so I thought I’d already be milking. Now I’m kinda glad she wasn’t. I realize I wouldn’t have liked getting up to milk on some of the 8 degree mornings we had a couple months ago

Today I kinda started working on a “playground” for baby goats and of course I did more of watching the goats mess with my stuff than I did work.
