My last doe to kid is a FF due tomorrow. So far this year everyone has been within a day or two of their due dates. I have been blessed to be at every kidding so far with all healthy kids and moms and I'm hopeing that continues. I have 7 kids so far from 4 moms, 4 girls and 3 boys. Several are outstanding kids. It has been an exciting couple of months and I will miss it when it's over, but the kids will keep me from being sad, who can be sad around a bunch of kids??
The man that owns a feed store here in town raises boers also, but he doesn't intervene if the kids don't thrive, so I thought I might tell him that I will take any he thinks aren't going to survive and bottle raise them, something he doesn't do.
I like to be busy with the animals so I have a good excuse not to do housework. :lol: LOL

Anyway, Misha is due tomorrow, keep your finger crossed for an easy, safe delivery and more gorgous kids. Denise

well thats great! Glad your kidding season has gone so well.

Sounds like a plan for the bottle kids - I would at least offer, it can't hurt.

Well, it is official, kidding season is over for me! Misha just kidded, on her due date even. She is a FF and seemed quite confused about the whole ordeal. She never lay day, not once. She would put her head against the wall when she pushed, she walked around with 2 legs out and when she pushed the head would show then go back in. The head was sidewise presenting so after a while I grabed a towel and when she was pushing and had the head showing I grabed the legs and pulled gently and out popped the head. It fell to the ground and she barely looked at it, then she squatted and pushed out the 2nd kid and again she didn't pay alot of attention. I made sure their airways were clear and backed off. They were both hollering and she stood in between them and just looked back abd forth. Finally she started hesitantly licking one of them on the head, hopefully when I go back out she will be working on both. I saw the first one is a girl but didn't want to interfer at all with her bonding so I haven't checked the 2nd one yet. They of course are very cute. :leap: Denise
