My husband and I recently made kid warmers out of the blue 55 gallon plastic drums. One of them wasn’t washed/rinsed very well and now I have eight babies covered in an oily residue and their coats feel nasty. Can I bathe them with Dawn dish soap and blow dry them? Or what can I do to get the oily residue out?

Yes you can bathe them but make sure they get dried well.

I would try to remedy the barrel issue.

Use regular dawn, not the new and improved, etc. Those have more additives. Hopefully, the blue barrels had food grade oil in them? Are the kids being dam raised? If so, you may have to rub the doe well with a rag then run it over the kids rear ends so the mom doesn't reject them. Give them back rear first, so she smells that and not the clean fur.
